What a crazy past two weeks, let me start with the end of Baton Rouge, so we had transfers, and I knew I was leaving, but I did not know where I was going!!! On Tuesday we were supposed to be going to go a LSU Baseball game but it got rained out :( so we went around the ward so I could say goodbye to the people that I have come to love <3. Then I packed up all of my crap, and wow I have too much crap!!!! But thanks to this super nice sister in the Baton Rouge ward she got me some new suitcases so I could get around easier. Don't get me wrong I had great suitcases but they were too small and this member just bought me a 3 piece set, so i just upgraded, and a big thanks to her for doing that! After I got all my things into something, we loaded up the car to head to the church to find out where I was was going. At the church I was told that I am was going to Pride, Baton Rouge, which borders my last area, so I didn't move too far, which is good because I did not want to be too far from my friend/friends, but I am up here in the Pride area with the pride ward, which has like 60 members on a good day!!!
I am here with Elder Bennett, and he's a way cool kid from LA CA, and he's been out for about 20 months, so far we are doing good together. The only problem I had was the apartment, it's crap! Ok Ok it's not that bad I just went from a nice one to a not so nice one! It was pretty dirty when I got there so I had to do some major cleaning and throwing away, but now it's clean and I am willing to live there. The ward I came into is one of he best wards here, they are super nice and they feed us really well, they all know how to cook. It was funny we got a call Saturday night from one worried Brother Thibidaux, who is the second counselor in the bishopric, and his speaker for Sunday called and she could not give her talk so he was asking/telling us to give a talk in the morning! We did and it was good but it was fun I and I tried to just wing it with some thoughts on a piece of paper, and it went really well!
Ok
this week, so Monday after we got off the computers, we headed over to
Denham Springs for an elders birthday, we hung out at a park and had fun
then we went to Wendy's because we were hungry, and we sat there way
too long, until it was time to go to our dinner appointment, which ended up being
at Wendy's, yep. On Tuesday we had to get up early
and head out to Hammond for Zone Conference which was fun I guess! It
was just super long and on the way home and I was stressed out because I was pushing for time and we got lost and we had interviewer with
president, which for some reason is stressful! But once we finally got
home, we had a member pick us up for a LSU baseball game, because the
one I was going to go to last week got rained out so we got to go then,
and wow that was way fun, the game was way good. I got to hang out with
my most favorite kid in the world, I got to eat good food, and it was
justs all together a good experience! And LSU WON!!!! One thing about the
south is I have become an LSU fan, it justs happened!
Wednesday was
a crazy day, we got up and then went to help this crazy old guy move all of his
really big and heavy furniture into the garage, and that lasted a long
time, and I am very sore because of the said furniture! After that we had a
dinner appointment that was way good, then a meeting after that which
was OK. and on to Thursday! So there is a new rule out here that says if
any missionary gets into a car crash of any sort, for the next two days after that no
one can drive their car! Someone got into an accident and as a result we could not drive our car, and we can't
really ride our bikes in this area, for other reasons, so we could not do anything, and
we did just that, nothing!
Friday was fun we went to go
see some less actives which was fun to get to know more people in the
area, after that we had dinner with the Stevens, and the Stevens are the
best! We had a good night with them, and then onto Saturday, and we
had a way good lesson with one of our investigators, and he will
becoming to church this Sunday, in return we will go with him to his
church the week after so we will have to see how that goes! We
spent the rest of the day with a member in Zachery!!! And then Sunday, we
go up way to early so we could make it to our meetings in the morning, and I
am not to big of a fan of these meetings, they are long and to early! Then we
had regular church after that, where my Northwest accent, and my
talking way to fast got me into trouble while saying the sacrament prayer. But I made it
on the 4th try! haha, Then we had just an ok day it was long, we went
to the Stevens for dinner again! and then now!!!!!!! anyway I love y'all and I hope for the bast for all!
