We
had transfers last Wednesday, so I am staying in my current area which
is Pride LA (right outside Baton Rouge) and it is a funny area not much
work sadly, half of our area is farming and old people and the rest is
just kinda subdivisions here and there with a Walmart! So ya there are
doors to be knocked but not may investigators.... we did find someone
Sunday just the other day! It was really cool we were coming home after a
dinner appointment, and I was just planning on going home and sleeping
(lol) but on our way I had a feeling we should go see one or our old
investigators, near by, so we did and once we got there and knocked on the door a
woman came to the door that I had not seen before and it was really
awesome, she was the investigators, daughter and we ended up teaching
her and inviting her to church so ya that was cool. I love teaching
people that want to change or need the help, that we as missionary can
provide!!!
We had stake conference this past weekend, and it was good but
to be honest they are more fun up North. but still fun to go see my
friends, that live in other areas. and for the most part, I am loving my
mission I am so glad that I ended up going on one, I cannot believe
where I would be with out going, probably in the mountains shredding my
brains out or something like it, but I don't need to worry because I
will do that when I get home YA !!! The other day I realized that at
the end of this transfer, I will be out 12 mouths! WOW!!!! Anyway life
is goo, love my comp elder Hall, he's the best and I cannot believe how
much I love that kid!!!
Love Elder Gordon
